People hurt.
Yes, even spiritual people.
People are depressed, anxious and sure there’s something wrong with them.
For spiritual seekers, suffering can be extra painful because everyone knows that hurting is unenlightened, reaction is bad, and desires are a no-no.
I mean, truly awake people don’t hurt or get triggered, right?
Of course. Everyone knows that.
So when triggering or pain does happen, that just proves how broken and hopeless we are.
Because being triggered is not cool.
Reacting supposedly indicates just how far we have left to go; how unenlightened and un-evolved we still are.
But what if that reactionless, desireless, never-afraid perfect you-that-feels-love-and-bliss only- what if that you simply isn’t possible?
What if you never get there because that particular there isn’t anywhere?
We are human. Humans feel. Humans react. Humans want.
That’s never going away.
We live lives and deal with terrorism and screaming kids and global warming and love that leaves and computers that go black without backup and speeding tickets and death and illness.
Life goes on. Reactions happen.
Where’s the problem with that?
And what real thing needs any of that to be one iota different, fixed or worked out?
Imagine how it would feel to not have to fix yourself or the planet.
Imagine all that free time just for experiencing life, as it is.
Ah.
